European Iron Maiden Tribute Band

since 2001

Biography

Children of the Damned formed in 2001 and have spent the last 25 years establishing themselves as a premier Iron Maiden tribute act. The band’s longevity is fueled by a deep, authentic passion for the music—a formula that has earned them a loyal following across Italy and Europe over the course of more than 500 live performances.
Beyond touring every corner of Italy, COTD have taken their show across the continent, performing in Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Croatia, Greece, the UK, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Finland, Romania, and Turkey. They have graced the stages of prestigious international festivals, sharing lineups with heavyweights such as Sepultura, Testament, Queensrÿche, Primal Fear, Moonspell, UDO, Sentenced, Helloween, Saxon, and MSG.
Their reputation has led to more than just tribute sets. Since 2003, they have served as the official Italian backing band for the legendary Paul Di’Anno (Iron Maiden’s original vocalist). In fact, COTD are Di’Anno’s most frequent European collaborators, holding the record for the longest-running lineup he performed with throughout his career (2003–2014).
Other career highlights include performing for over 20,000 people at the 2009 Faro Biker Pride in Portugal—the largest motorcycle rally in Europe—sharing the stage with Europe and performing on the same stage that Iron Maiden would headline just two years later.
The band also performed with former Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley in 2014.
Since 2017, they have collaborated with original Iron Maiden guitarist Dennis Stratton, making them the only Italian band to have worked with all the key former members of the British metal icons.
